A hoodie is one of the few garments where sizing up isn't a mistake — it's a legitimate style choice. Here's how to decide which one you actually want.
True to size: regular fit
Ordering your usual size gives a regular fit — room to layer a t-shirt underneath, shoulder seams that sit at the actual shoulder, cuffs that hit the wrist. This is the version that works layered under a jacket without adding bulk.
Sizing up: the oversized look
Going up one size drops the shoulder seam slightly and adds room through the body, which is the entire look behind the current oversized-hoodie trend. It's a deliberate choice, not a fit mistake, as long as you're going up exactly one size rather than two or three.
Available sizes
- M, L, XL, 2XL
- 400 GSM fleece cotton, regular fit as the base cut
- Full sleeves, ribbed cuffs, full-length zip
The one thing sizing up shouldn't do
Sleeve length shouldn't hang past your knuckles once sized up. If it does, you've gone too far past the intended oversized cut, and the fit starts working against you instead of for you.
