A year of daily carry, in and out of pockets multiple times a day. Here's what actually changed on this wallet, and what didn't.
The leather did exactly what leather should
Slightly darker at the corners, noticeably softer to the touch than day one. That's patina, not wear — it looks better now than it did new, which is the whole point of real leather over synthetic.
The stitching held
No loose threads, no separation at the seams despite being opened and closed likely a few thousand times over the year. That was the detail I actually worried about most going in.
Still genuinely slim
It hasn't bulged or lost its low profile despite carrying 5–6 cards and cash daily. Some slim wallets stretch out of shape within months; this one still sits flat.
Would I trust it for another year
No hesitation. If anything, it looks more "mine" now than it did new — which is a strange thing to say about a wallet, but it's the honest result of a year of actual use.
