Most polo reviews are written a week after purchase. This one isn't. I've had the same black polo in regular rotation for three years, and here's what actually happened to it.
The collar held its shape longer than expected
Cheap polo collars go floppy within months. This one still stands up on its own without ironing, three years in — which I'd put down to the heavier 220 GSM fabric rather than anything special about how I've treated it.
The colour is the real surprise
Black polos are usually the first thing in a wardrobe to visibly grey, especially at the shoulders where a bag strap sits. Mine hasn't done that. Held up next to a new one in daylight, I genuinely can't tell them apart.
Where it did show wear
Being honest, the placket buttons have loosened slightly and I've had to reinforce one with a needle and thread. That's normal wear on any garment at this point, not a fabric issue.
Would I buy it again
I already have, twice, which is a more honest answer than anything I could write about it. At this price, replacing one every year would still be cheaper than most premium polos bought once. Not needing to replace it at all has been the actual win.
